THE STORY SO FAR...

The story of the Wildcards began in a small town within the borderland region of Old Phandal. Accepting a job to seek out a missing delver merchant, a rag tag group of adventurers were drawn together, each with their own goals. Skulk in particular sought out the artefact Sunsunder, stolen by a thief whom he had tracked to the region.

As the group arrived within the town of Phandalin they discovered the village held random by a local group of thugs. Freeing the village, their search for Sunsunder led them to the lost mine of the Phandelver Pact, where a drau elf agent of the A'tuani hoped to reforge the blade Sunsunder.

Pursuing two Dragonborn crusaders who had stolen a similarly powerful artefact, the Wildcards followed them along the Marchwater road to Sullisport and then by boat to Lost, the City of Thieves. From Lost they caught up to the crusaders at the city of Rillswallow, discovering it sacked, and followed the crusaders down into the ancient Cyresean Barrow, the birthplace of the God of War. Deep beneath the earth, the Wildcards fought the crusaders, defeating them.

In the aftermath of this battle, the Wildcards separated for a time, their individual missions complete for the time being. When trouble found Mylla, an orphan girl they had taken as a ward within Phandalin, a portion of the group reassembled to help her, smuggling her out of the town as agents of the Magistratum sought to take her prisoner to take advantage of her wild magic powers.

The wildcards journeyed across half the continent, leaving the Empire and traveling across the cursed lands of Kharvaj Gazar, and then north to the vast desert of the Howling Sands. There within the sands, chased by the dragon Zitonai, they found the desert nomad Merath and his band of Children of Abundance, children blessed with wild magic. The mysterious nomad sought to train and protect these children and took Mylla on as a student. To further protect the child, the Wildcards sought out the dragon Zitonai one more time and vanquished her, leaving her dead beneath the ancient Benthic Spire in the middle of the desert.

Within Zitonai's hoard the Wildcards discovered the fragments of the ancient weapon Godgorger. Seeking out knowledge that might help them reforge it to fight the growing threat of the dragons from the east, Morthak traveled back to her people to undergo the smoke ceremony. Discovering an ancient bridge to the Realm of Jotungaard, Morthak led the group to the ancient giant forge known as Elsmidja, where she undertook titanic labours to assist in reforging the weapon.

Chasing her destiny, Morthak led the Wildcards across the elven lands to the south, to the mountain fortress of Pelenspayar. There, she led the wyvern riders into battle against a clade of chromatic dragons attempting to breach the line and invade the rest of the continent. Taking the golden queen Cequis to the skies, the dragons were successfully repulsed. Now, in the aftermath of the battle, the machinations of the changelings, led by the mysterious Potter, the sinister Worm-Faced, and their shadowy master, come to fore as Mylla, the orphan girl and her friends at the Oasis refuge are once more threatened...
